This article made me smile as we see a humble side to Eddie when asked about his following in his friend Robert’s status as a heartthrob!
He’s British film’s new hot property but Les Miserables star Eddie Redmayne says he’ll never beat fellow Brit Robert Pattinson in the heartthrob stakes.
The shy and freckled hunk says he is unconvinced by his own female following, even after he was plucked by Burberry to model.
Redmayne declared: ‘No-one, no-one can compete with Rob, he’s in a league of his own.’
The self-deprecating actor is still unconvinced that he’s a hottie.
‘I’m not sure that’s true,’ said the 31-year-old, ‘it’s very flattering.’
Blind to his natural talents, Eddie reckons his fans ‘would be disappointed if they met me.’
Eddie has set the world alight starring across from US stars Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried in the musical film adaptation.
And along with his looks, the star is dubious about his singing efforts in the flick and said: ‘I still think that’s up for debate.’
Sadly for his female fans, Eddie is rumoured to be a taken man as he has a girlfriend in London.
