Eddie’s co-star Channing Tatum has spoken out to the associated press about their new film Jupiter Ascending.

Channing Tatum has revealed that Jupiter Ascending has been a physically challenging shoot.

The Magic Mike actor, who stars in Andy and Lana Wachowskis’ upcoming sci-fi adventure alongside Mila Kunis, Sean Bean and Eddie Redmayne, also said the film is quite innovative.

“We are breaking ground – I mean it’s a tough shoot. We’re doing stuff that’s never been done, inside the camera, in the CG (computer-generated) world, and the physical stuff,” he told Collider.

“There’s very little, if not no, digital stuntmen in the movie. All the stuff is really real and it’s been hard figuring it out because they don’t like doing anything that’s been done before. So we’re definitely doing some new stuff, so hopefully everybody likes it.”

The 33-year-old added: “And it’s fun, it’s got some cheek to it. It’s a cheeky movie a little bit.”

Channing, who became a first-time dad when wife Jenna gave birth to their daughter Everly on May 31, also revealed his character Caine is half wolf and half human.

“I’m a splice, splices are essentially built in a test tube. I’m a hybrid wolf and human. And half albino, so I’m a little defective,” he said.

Douglas Booth, James D’Arcy and Terry Gilliam also star in Jupiter Ascending, which is expected to hit cinemas in July 2014.
