The Irish Independent shared that Eddie is one of the new people chosen for the BAFTA Jury.
Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are among the star names on a new Bafta jury tasked with finding the UK’s freshest talent.
The pair join the likes of actor Daniel Kaluuya, filmmakers Shane Meadows and Dexter Fletcher and Bafta-winning screenwriter Abi Morgan on the judging panel for Bafta’s new talent showcase, known as Breakthrough Brits.
A list of talented newcomers will be announced on September 25 and celebrated at a showcase event on October 21.
Bafta chairman John Willis said: “It’s been wonderful to see the breadth of emerging talent in the UK. We’re looking forward to revealing Bafta’s first ever Breakthrough Brits, and to supporting them as they advance their careers.
“The future of our moving image industries is in good hands,” he added.
Eddie – who won awards for his performance as lovelorn rebel Marius Pontmercy in Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables – next stars in the Wachowskis’ sci-fi adventure Jupiter Ascending with Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis.
Felicity, last seen in love story Breathe In, will appear next in The Invisible Woman alongside Ralph Fiennes and Kristin Scott Thomas and is rumoured to have a role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
