Eddie's work in raising awareness of this brutal disease is "one very close to my heart". He has lent his voice to help raise awareness of the illness and was apart of their "My Eyes Say" campaign in 2017. MNDA is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND. |

Variety has reported that Eddie’s film The Danish Girl has a release date!

Focus Features has planned an awards-season launch for “The Danish Girl,” setting a Nov. 27 release for the film directed by Tom Hooper and starring Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander.
The film will open in exclusive engagements in New York and Los Angeles.
“The Danish Girl” is based on the novel of the same name by David Ebershoff. Redmayne stars as Lili Elbe, one of the first-known recipients of transgender surgery. The story is set in 1920s Copenhagen.
Producers are Gail Mutrux through her Pretty Pictures production company, Anne Harrison through her Harrison Productions, Working Title co-chairs Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, and Hooper. Amber Heard and Matthias Schoenaerts also star.
Redmayne won the lead actor Oscar for Working Title’s “The Theory of Everything,” which has grossed more than $100 million worldwide.
